SSM teachers honoured with Guru Gaurav Puraskar:


        To recognize their teaching abilities and major impact left on students, Biloli Block Education Office declared best teachers award for the academic year 2018-19. Shri Venkat Kulkarni of Sainiki Vidyalaya known for his traditional and innovative teaching methodology has been honoured with Gura Gaurav Puraskar by Local MLA Shri Subhash Sabane and Block Education Officer Shri A.V. Kulkarni on 28th October.  Shri Vitthal Jathore of Shivaji Highschool also honoured with the same award for his valuable contribution in enrichment of Marathi Language. Both, serving as Head Masters of their respective units, joined SSM Schools as assistant teacher in 1990’s and successfully shouldered various academic and administrative responsibilities.  SSM Chairman Shri Pramodji Deshmukh congratulated them for being selected as awardees.

Blanket Distribution to Orphans:


      Orphan girls and boys of Balgram and Balak Mandir were really touched by the gesture of some broad minded donors from Degloor. Nearby 75 blankets have been distributed to needy children in these days of bone chilling cold on first December.  A big thank to Shri Shrinivas Rekhawar, Shri Anil Tathode, Shri Sanjay Chinammwar and Shri Nandkumar as it is a sign of doing something for others beyond self.

Empower Women – Vocational Training for Women’s Economic Empowerment :




      In many cases, girls and women have been excluded from learning opportunities.  Under ATA programme, a ten days Women Vocational Training Course has been initiated with a soul aim to facilitate a process where socially and economically marginalized women are able to participate in the process of their development so that they are able to lead a life of dignity and respect.
        It’s first batch of 34 women and 20 men from Osmanabad and Wardha districts have successfully completed their vocational training on poultry, sheep rearing, soil testing, nursery, poly house, pest-control etc.  Vet Shri Punjab Khamsule and Shri Sadashiv Patil imparted their valuable guidance to the trainees.

SSM hosted State Level Sports Event:



State Level Football Matches of Boys and Girls (Under 14) played between 11th to 13th November were a great success and fantastic experience for players, coaches and viewers too. This is for the first time till date that such an event was held at Sagroli, a remote rural place.
        Local MLA Shri Subhash Sabane formally inaugurated this exceptional games programme in an auspicious presence of Shri Pramodji Deshmukh and Mrs Morale Madam, Deputy Director of Sports. On behalf of SSM, Pramodji welcomed all 300 participants from nine divisions of Maharashtra State.  He kicked off football and started the first match.
        Girls’ final was won by Pune division with 1-0 against Amrawati division whereas Boys’ final played between Mumbai and Kolhapur was won by Kolhapur with 3-0.  The games finished not with a closing ceremony but, in addition to performance and results, it was also about making friends and enjoying hospitality of SSM.  In successful delivering the sports event, a great credit and thanks is given to SSM for having courage and commitment to make it happen.
Director of Sports (Maharashtra) and District Sports Officer (Nanded) thanked all team personnel, officials and volunteers of SSM for without them there would be no games.

Unopposed Election – Pramodji became AFARM Chairperson:


         SSM Chairman, Shri Pramodji Deshmukh has been elected unopposed as chairperson of AFARM on 20th November in their forty sixth General Body Meet held at Pune.
        Action For Agricultural Renewal in Maharashtram (AFARM) is an apex institution that was established in 1969 with a sole aim to co-ordinate various NGOs in their task of providing drinking water and extending agriculture services to villages in drought affected Maharashtra.  The present strength of Institutional members is 90.  In addition, 241 NGOs across the State are also enrolled as associate organizations.
        SSM has extended its valuable services in various fields like Education, Health, Environments, Women Empowerment, Water Conservation and Agriculture for the past sixty years.  Responding at the election of AFARM Chairpersonship, Pramodji said, “Need of Water Resource Management has been intensified due to climate change.  His priority will be suggesting positive changes in Government Policies and working together with the individuals and organizations to seek a long lasting remedy.”
